Heidi is the classic tale of a girl raised in the Swiss Alps by her grandfather (and then taken to Frankfurt against her will). She returns to the Alps with a new friend, and a small miracle ensues.
I had never read this, and after our recent trip, wanted to correct that. This is a translation (the original, auf Deutsch, is now on my reading list) and a simplified/shortened version (I think). It was okay, but moved much too fast for my liking, and felt . . . unfinished. Perhaps the real version is better.
