Dark Horse Comics ran a 40-issue story arc called
Star Wars: Empire from 2002-2006. They then re-released those issues in collections called trade paperbacks.
Betrayal is Volume 1 of the
Empire story arc collection, and the trade paperback collects issues 1-4 of the series.

Betrayal takes place very shortly before
Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. As the Death Star is nearing completion, a group of senior Imperial officers (including the cool-looking Moff Trachta- see picture above) plot to kill Palpatine and Vader, ridding the Empire of the Sith "theocracy." They fail, of course. That's about it; there's not much to this story. I enjoy the time period, though, and the art is okay. Overall, there are better stories out there, but it's not bad.
