With Kingpin behind bars, one would hope Hell's Kitchen would enjoy at least a brief respite. But it is not to be; new threats roam the streets, pushing Daredevil to the limit, forcing him to examine his beliefs and methods. One such is Frank Castle; his family murdered, he wreaks havoc on those responsible. Another is Elektra, a shadowy figure from Matt's past. They spar over methods, they squabble over means, but they all agree: something ominous is coming to Hell's Kitchen. Something nobody may be able to stop.
Season two of Marvel's TV show is much like the first- full of suspense, intrigue, and violence. Character development was decent, plot rushed at times, but I enjoyed seeing the Punisher and Elektra. One underlying theme- vigilantes and the appropriate response to a broken justice system- was discussed but not satisfyingly concluded; perhaps season three will address it better. Overall, a worthy addition to the series, but don't watch it with the kids.
