Rothenburg ob der Tauber is a marvel. An intact Medieval city, spared from invasion, destruction, and decay, is no small wonder. We've been there several times, and had a chance to visit again recently with friends.
Rothenburg is a place I enjoy without itinerary. Stroll the streets, walk the town wall, enjoy the square, shop, take in the architecture. Eat ice cream, climb the town hall, visit the church, do whatever. The entire town can be walked in a day, with beauty in every corner. Visit.
