Prince Lucas is lonely and needs a friend. His parents allow him to play with a village girl, Clara. And it's a good thing, too; the queen has lost her favorite jewel, and Lucas will need Clara's help to find it as they visit the surrounding islands of fairies, wizards, and trolls. Will they be successful?
My son loves The Kingdom of Wrenly series, so I read the first to see what it was like. I enjoyed it well enough; this is juvenile fiction, so I wasn't expecting deep or complex plots. The illustrations were excellent and the story fine, if basic.
