Aquaman

Arthur Curry is the child of two worlds- human and Atlantean.  Raised on land, he largely spurns his sea heritage (he's the queen's son) until forced to do so; his half-brother, King Orm, is trying to unite the peoples of the sea to attack the land.  To stop him, Arthur- or Aquaman- must locate the hidden Trident of Magical Powers (or whatever).  But it won't be easy; a sea pirate is after him looking for revenge.  Armed with Atlantean tech, this Black Manta will prove a formidable foe.  Who will prevail?

I missed Aquaman in theaters.  I wished I missed it on blu-ray.  This movie fails on many fronts:
- the plot/character development is rushed (two antagonists don't help)
- the acting and dialogue are poor
- there are bizarre plot elements or gaps

As my wife observed, it tries to be epic but comes off as comical (and not in a good way).  For some reason, this did better in theaters than Justice League, but it's not worth your time.  The DC Expanded Universe needs a reboot.
