Wertheim & Mespelbrunn

Another Saturday, another castle (or two) and ice cream (naturally). Yesterday, we saw Wertheim and swung by Mespelbrunn on the way home.

Wertheim

The town name means "worthy home" in German; it's appropriate. A wonderfully-situated ruin with excellent views and a charming town below, we really enjoyed this one. Admission is 2€ per person, through a turnstile (so coins only). Afterwards, we did ice cream and I tried yet another new fruit flavor: green apple. Yum.

Mespelbrunn

On our way home, we stopped to see Mespelbrunn. Admission was steeper (5,50€ per adult, reduced for kids) and mandatory even if walking the exterior grounds (and not doing the tour, which lasted 40 minutes and wasn't up to our comfort level in the pandemic). I paid for one adult, took some quick pics, and we went our way.
