In Star Wars Episode IV, Princess Leia watches helplessly as Grand Moff Tarkin destroys her home planet of Alderaan. In her namesake graphic novel, Leia attempts to pick up the pieces by tracking down Alderaanians who were off-planet at the time and helping them start a colony on a new world. Little does she know a mole may be leading the Empire straight to her . . . and they're bent on finishing what they started.
Like other recent Star Wars graphic novels, this isn't that great. Same old problems: some of the dialogue and character portrayals are ridiculous or overly implausible, and the plot moves fast yet gives us little of interest. The overall Star Wars canon is not enriched.
