After our hikes (see previous post), we checked out Bourscheid Castle. It follows the standard story: very important at one point, fell into ruin, and recent attempts are being made to restore it, at least in part. Its perch was impressive above the surrounding countryside (though a freshly-cleared forest in one section tarnished the view), and it was a nice experience. Vianden (or Beaufort) are better, but is a castle visit ever a bad day out?
