Mara Jade, one-time Imperial assassin sent to kill Luke Skywalker, overcomes her hatred and eventually decides to marry him instead. Their marriage is chronicled in Union. Their marriage is seen as symbolic- the old Imperial order peacefully coexisting with the New Republic- and some are adamantly opposed to the idea. These malcontents express their dismay by staging an attack during the ceremony. Will they succeed? Will they drive a stake through the heart of the fragile peace?
Ugh. I really didn't like this one. Not only do I feel it unnecessary to document every event in the Star Wars saga, this particular story was filled with stupid enemies (one of whom cheesily changes sides at the end after a few words from Luke) and weird side-plots (like Mara choosing dresses). Not recommended.
