Prelude to Rebellion is a Star Wars graphic novel set a few years before Episode I. It consists of two stories, both featuring Ki-Adi-Mundi (the eggheaded Jedi seen in the prequels):
Prelude to Rebellion: The elders on the planet Cerea have for years rejected most technology, desiring to keep their planet unspoiled- they're basically the Amish of Star Wars. The youth of the planet are largely in the pro-tech camp, led by those with sinister intent. Ki's daughter falls in with the dangerous crowd, goes missing, and forces Ki to chase the group to Tatooine, where he gets hints that something larger and more formidable may be in the works.
Vow of Justice: As a child, Ki's family was routinely pillaged by a band of pirates on Cerea. Away for two decades for Jedi training, Ki returns to his family estate to seek justice and stop the pirates.
Both stories are pretty blah, and don't do much to advance the saga. You do get some of Ki's back-story, which is mildly interesting, but not enough to warrant reading.
